PURRRRR

The most known reason a cat purrs when she/he is expresing happiness or relaxing. When a cat is content, being petted or cuddled, they often purr it is a sign of affection and being content. A relaxed kitty will also slow blink while purring.

A cat's purr is believed to have therapeutic effects, both for the kitty and for its owner promoting reducing stress. Studies suggest that the sounds as well as the ensuing vibrations produced during purring lower blood pressure and relative anxiety in both cats and their owners

A cat that is purrring also does so as as a form of communication with other cats and humans. Kittens begin purring shortly after birth arounf 4-6 weeks of age thus signaling that they are safe and content. Purring continues into adult kitties, helping cats conect with their owners
